This notice covers the clir.ai website. The privacy policy for our apps clir Hearing and clir Focus, including how they handle microphone audio, accounts and analytics, is at clir.ai/privacy. The clir Focus pre-order page has its own notice, because it also uses the Meta Pixel.

The short version
Nothing is sent to analytics or advertising services unless you agree to it in the consent banner. Without your consent, this website sets no analytics cookies and loads nothing from Google.
Consent management
We use Usercentrics (Usercentrics GmbH, Munich, Germany) to ask for your consent before any analytics tool runs and to record your choice. The banner is loaded from Usercentrics' servers, which process your IP address to deliver it, and your choice is stored in your browser. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the privacy button in the bottom corner of every page. Legal basis: our obligation to obtain and document consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to see which pages are visited, for how long, and where visitors come from (for example campaign parameters and referring sites). Google Analytics then sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, kept for up to two years, and your data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021). Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and Google receives no data from this website.
Server logs
Our web server records standard access logs (IP address, time, requested URL, browser user agent) for security and operations (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are not merged with analytics data.
Links to other websites
Links to the App Store and other websites are plain links: nothing is loaded from those services until you click one, and from then on their own privacy policies apply.
If you email us, we use your message and address to answer you and for any follow-up (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR), and keep them only as long as that requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at contact@clir.ai. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, dsb.gv.at).
