clir Voice Support

Subscriptions run through your Apple ID, so you cancel with Apple: open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose clir Voice. You keep what you paid for until the end of the current period.

Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Open the store in clir Voice and tap Restore purchases, using the same Apple ID you bought with. If you use a clir account, make sure you're signed in to the same one. If it still doesn't show, write to us below.

Hours count recording time. A recording's length is charged once, the first time you process it, and later processing of the same recording costs nothing more. Ultra doesn't use hours: it's unlimited.

In clir Voice, go to Settings and tap Delete Account. Your recordings stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app.

Open the recording in clir Voice and switch the player to Plus. Plus removes background noise from cafés, traffic, wind and rooms and keeps the voice as recorded. You can also import recordings made with other apps, then compare the cleaned version with the original before you export it.

Yes, with Ultra. Ultra removes background noise and reverb or echo, then rebuilds the voice with AI for studio mic sound. It suits echoey rooms, lecture halls, distant speakers and audio you want to publish.

Yes. Import a video clip from your camera roll or Files, clean up its sound with Ultra and export the video with the cleaned audio, ready to post. Video import, cleanup and export are part of Ultra.

Noise removal, echo removal and transcription run on your iPhone or iPad. Your audio is never uploaded. Download the speech and sound models once, then record, clean up and transcribe offline, even in flight mode. Account sign-in, purchases and model downloads need a connection.

Plus removes background noise and keeps the voice exactly as recorded. Ultra also removes echo and reverb and rebuilds the voice with AI. Cleaning and exporting video sound is an Ultra feature.

Rarely. AI voice reconstruction can occasionally change a word, so check what matters against the original. Plus never rebuilds the voice, so it is the safer choice when every word counts.

Yes. The original recording always stays available. Switch between the original and the cleaned version in the player, or use A/B to compare them.

Yes. Ambience mode does the opposite of noise removal: it removes the voices and keeps the background sound, for example to reuse the atmosphere of a place.

Many audio cleanup and transcription tools run in a web browser or on a computer and upload your files to a server. clir Voice records, cleans up and transcribes on your iPhone or iPad, works offline and never uploads your audio.

clir Voice needs iOS 17 or later on iPhone, or iPadOS 17 or later on iPad. Ultra needs more working memory than Plus and can be unavailable on devices with too little memory, so try the preview on your own device first. On Apple Watch you can record; the recording transfers to your iPhone for transcription and, with Plus or Ultra, cleanup. Your watch can also start, mark and stop a recording on your iPhone and show live captions.
